Presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama have been taking swipes at each other on the campaign trail -- but have decided to put politics aside to come together on the seventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The GOP and Dem nominees released a statement today, saying that they will visit Ground Zero "to honor the memory of each and every American who died" in the NYC attacks. According to AP, both of the senators' camps have agreed to not air negative campaign advertisements on 9/11, in honor of the joint appearance at the World Trade Center site.

We got our hopes up, only to have them CRUSHED.

But, this is probably for the best.

PerezHilton.com just spoke to Britney Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, and he tells us exclusively that the former and (hopeful) once-again Princess of Pop is NOT performing at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

She is 100% not performing, Larry assured us, but she will be attending and opening the show.

Rudolph has repeatedly stated recently that Spears was NOT performing, a statement echoed closely by the reps at MTV.

So, what to make of that footage that leaked on Friday that showed Britney rehearsing to a new song of her with some dancers???

"She was not rehearsing for the VMAs," Rudolph tells us. "It was just her going into the studio with some dancer friends and having fun. It's a regular occurrence now. I see that every day."

But we don't! And we got VERY excited.

Well, we think it's wise that Spears wait until she's 110% ready to perform and make a killer comeback.

But, Larry tells us, that day is not too far away!

saMAN is expected to DJ the In Touch Weekly party in Los Angeles on Sunday, after the VMAs.

So, yeah, we still haven't gotten around to watching the new 90210. It's been a busy week!

But, this hottie is one of the show's new stars.

His name is Adam Gregory - such a porn star name! - and he's got the loveliest case of gayface.

Though 90210 just started last week, Adam's already enjoying his newfound "celebrity." The TV star hit up the Skorcher lounge at the Verizon Wireless Samsung Style Villa at the Thompson Hotel on Saturday afternoon in Beverly Hills.
