As we mentioned earlier this week,, Usher's exwife, Tameka Raymond, suffered cardiac arrest as she was being anesthetized for liposuction surgery in Brazil this past weekend. And, surprisingly, the Brazilian doctors have been willing to talk about the unfortunate event to the media!

According to Ellen Dasptry, a rep for Sao Paulo plastic surgeon Dr. Silvio Sterman, the 38-year-old Tameka flew to South America to have lipo done on her stomach. Just TWO months after giving birth to the Usher's son.

CRAZY! Doesn't that seem a bit TOO soon anyway?

Dasptry said, "Tameka Raymond came here on Friday to do a liposuction. Shortly after she went under [general] anesthesia, she suffered a cardiac arrest." She added that Tameka never received the surgery.

After the cardiac arrest she was immediately revived and placed in an induced coma. "When an attack like this happens, the doctors put the patient to sleep… and make sure that everything is okay and that there has not been any damage," says the doc. "This is the protocol every time and this is what was done."

Tameka was later transferred to one of Brazil's larger hospitals and after a week of recovery "is doing very well. In plastic surgery all over the world, there is no rule that says a woman can't have plastic surgery performed two months after childbirth."

Better to be safe and wait!

An adaptation of the Love Comes Softly franchise.

In the movie, Dr. Belinda Simpson (Jones) arrives in the town of Sikeston as a physician only to find many people have become ill or have died from a mystery ailment. She worries she’s in over her head, despite assurances from her best friend Annie (Haylie Duff). She must fight her own fears as well as the doubts of the town (who mistrust a woman doctor) and their pressure to close the orphanage (they blame the kids for the sickness). In the end, it’s faith that must lead the way.

What's next? A stint on Home & Garden TV?

Jessica Simpson had plenty to say regarding rumors about her weight and an alleged split with her boyfriend, Tony Romo, while opening for Rascal Flatts in NYC on February 12. The singer filled Madison Square Garden with her voice and blew kisses at her fans and at Tony, who was right there showing support. "This is for a really cute boy who wears flip-flops and wears his hat backward," Jessica said, dedicating a song to her honey and singing the lines, "I want you just the way you are / Come on over." And despite taking flack from the public for her supposed weight gain, Jessica was comfortable enough to make a joke, even with her valentine right there. "I've had times when my pants split right down the middle when I bent down to reach a note," the singer told fans, laughing. "That's why I'm wearing a skort — not a skirt, not a short — just so they wouldn't split."
