In theaters March 6, 'Watchmen' takes place in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society. The plot of the film is set in motion when one of their own, The Comedian, is murdered. Soon a conspiracy to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes comes to light. Dane Cook's manager and half-brother has been accused of embezzling millions of dollars from the funnyman and film star, and now he has been arraigned in a Massachusetts District Court in connection with the case. Darryl McCauley, 43, is being charged today with Larceny over $250 (2 counts), Forgery, and Larceny by Continuous Scheme. He pled not guilty and was ordered held on $3 million cash bail. McCauley, who was arrested Tuesday evening without incident, has been Cook's business manager since the early 1990s and was responsible for the comedian's financial affairs. He is accused of transferring millions of Cook's earnings into his own personal accounts for his personal use, and in one instance he is accused of forging a three million dollar check written from Cook's account to himself.
