Laura Bush and Cindy McCain’s RNC Appearance Canceled

Hurricane Gustav is causing more RNC schedule changes. The Insider has learned that first lady Laura Bush and first lady hopeful Cindy McCain have canceled plans to make a joint appearance at the RNC in Minneapolis on Monday, says a White House press release. President George W. Bush, who announced earlier Sunday that he will also not appear at the RNC Monday, has gone to Texas to be with emergency response teams and evacuees -- although he is thinking about possibly speaking through a video feed.

This weekend we had the very special opportunity to not only see Cher's new show at Caesar's Palace in Vegas, but we also got to meet her afterwards!!!

This woman is a legend!!!!!

She's in her 60s and she's still singing and dancing. She's been doing this for 44 years now!

And, the new show at the Colosseum brilliantly encapsulates that storied career - taking you on a journey through her decades of hits and memorable moments along the way.

The show is everything you would want from a Cher concert - big production, stunning Bob Mackie outfits, dancers, aerialists, video montages and more.

The only, small, critique we have is that she does spend a lot of time offstage changing clothes. She has a new costume for practically every song!

But, it's a Cher show and you want those outfits. So it is what it is.

Above everything else, though, it's all about the music. And Cher has soooo many hits.

We saw the Bette Midler show at the Colosseum and we didn't enjoy her as much as Cher because Bette just doesn't have that many hits. It's all about the show.

However, the show is that much more special when everybody knows all the songs and they're singing along!

Cher's got the hits, the show, the comedy. Everything.

And she was sooooo nice when we met her. And spunky!

If you come to Vegas, you MUST check her out.

We believe!!!!

Report: Amy Winehouse in Legal Trouble Following Cancellation

Just on the heels of news that she pulled out of a Friday concert in Paris due to an illness, Amy Winehouse may be facing legal troubles due to the cancellation, says the New York Daily News. The paper says organizers of the Rock En Seine festival announced they plan to pursue a lawsuit against the British songstress for reportedly backing out two hours before show time without giving them a reason. Winehouse’s publicist released a statement this weekend saying the singer canceled because of an illness. But festival organizers say they were not told why Winehouse wasn’t able to perform, says the paper. "We have still not been given any explanation of the exact reasons for her absence," organizers said this weekend. "We are very sorry about this situation and share the disappointment of the festival-goers."
