According to a new report, the late Tim Russert's son, Luke, will be covering the Democratic and Republican conventions for NBC News.
The younger Russert's assignment as a convention correspondent focusing on "youth issues" is his first for NBC, the network said Thursday.
NBC New's president said, "Never before in an election cycle has so much attention turned to the youth vote, and Luke will bring a unique perspective to covering it."
Russert said in a statement that he was "humbled and grateful" for the opportunity.
We're sure he'll do a great job!

All the swinging she does with the Primrose Hill set took its toll on Jude Law's ex-wifey, Sadie Frost.
According to the Daily Mail, Frost's clothing line, FrostFrench, was forced to fold last week with one creditor owed more than $6.6 million.
Total debts are understood to be just over $8 million.
However, with friends like Kate Moss, Frost's 'celebrity' status attracted a rich investor (a Norwegian film producer) to save its assets at the last minute.
Renamed FrostFrench London Retail, the new company will manage the label, and the company's store in the trendy Islington section of London will remain open.
Lucky break for the former Mrs. Jude Law.

As we mentioned earlier this month, reports state that the next Batman movie will feature the Riddler as the main villain.
Jim Carrey did a good job playing the last Riddler in 1995. So, who would likely take his place?
Well, some reports claim that Johnny Depp is being offered the role.
And with the success The Dark Knight has has had at the box office, making over $440 million worldwide, the producers don't think they'll have a problem convincing Depp to take the role.
A source says the producers "are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny's a pro. He'll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own."
They also plan on revisiting another one of Batman's enemies, the Penguin. And according to insiders, they are hoping the role goes to Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Depp and Hoffman?
Two excellent choices, we think.

One more down, a gazillion left to go!
Girls Gone Wild mastermind Joe Francis has reached a settlement this week with a Panama City, Florida, woman who said she was 16 when filmed flashing her breasts in 2002.
Her picture was on the cover of a popular GGW video.
Francis' attorney said the woman will not be paid but will be freed of a countersuit alleging she abused the legal process.
Joe caught another lucky break!

Solange Knowles must have hired a nanny or three to take care of that baby of hers so she can get back to work.
To start off, Solange has just been named as an ambassador for Armani Jeans.
Giorgio Armani supposedly said, "Armani Jeans expresses my vision of a young, independent, casual lifestyle with a strong and cool, fashion sensibility. Solange epitomises this style perfectly and brings to it that swing so evident in her new single, I Decided."
That has marketing/PR/corporate mouthpiece written all over it!
In late August, Solange's second album, SoL-AngeL and the Hadley Street Dreams (from which I Decided is taken), hits the streets.
The younger Knowles will then be embarking on a worldwide tour this autumn.
Work it!
