Patrick Dempsey has a new project!

Dr. McDreamy himself PATRICK DEMPSEY will be the latest celebrity affiliated with Avon, according to Women's Wear Daily.

WWD reported late Monday that the actor had signed on for a multi-year contract with the cosmetics giant. Dempsey will launch his own men's fragrance this fall, even acting as creative director for the new scent. WWD sources estimate that Dempsey could be paid between $5 and $6 million for his role in the new endeavor.

Avon CEO ANDREA JUNG used strong language when hyping the deal to WWD, saying, "This will be arguably the strongest franchise in the company's history."

The 10 remaining couples took to the dance floor to perform the jive or the tango.

Despite the departure of PENN JILLETTE and MONICA SELES last week, host TOM BERGERON never announced which of the other "Dancing with the Stars" couples had been low scorers and who might be in jeopardy. So the nervous energy was high when the competitors took to the ballroom floor for Monday night's competition, dancing either the jive or the tango, and the battle for the disco-ball trophy is on!

Getting the joint jumping with the jive were MARLEE MATLIN and FABIAN SANCHEZ. Head judge LEN GOODMAN praised, "You never cease to amaze me. The jive is a difficult dance. To dance it without hearing, I think [you] did a great job." BRUNO TONIOLI agreed, saying, "You are an incredible performer. You connect with the audience. You lost the timing a few times, but a good job." CARRIE ANN INABA stated, "You have good chemistry. What I noticed this time is your hands. Watch your hands. They are a little pancake-y." The couple scored 21 out of 30 points.

STEVE GUTTENBERG and ANNA TREBUNSKAYA, who had been sick with a virus all week, took to the floor to tango. For Carrie Ann, it was their best dance so far: "You were completely determined. It was sharp and snappy, but it could use more dynamics," she opined. Len felt, "You captured the flavor of the dance. A much improved performance." Bruno cryptically commented, "Manly and madly did the trick for you." Steve and Anna were awarded 21 points.

The comedian is injured while playing basketball.

It was no laughing matter this weekend when funnyman ADAM SANDLER accidentally broke his ankle, according to a report by the Associated Press.

The actor broke his ankle while playing some B-ball, but the AP reports that his injury won't affect production on his latest movie, 'Bedtime Stories,' which is currently filming.

"The Insider" confirms the news that a woman who allegedly stalked actor JOHN CUSACK has been arrested. 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department released a statement to "The Insider," which reads: "EMILY LEATHERMAN, 33, was booked on suspicion of felony stalking, violating a restraining order and petty theft. Leatherman, who was booked at the Malibu-Lost Hills station, is being held on $150,000 bail."

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, police were called to Malibu on Sunday night about a woman who hadn't paid for a cab ride. Upon arrival, Cusack approached them and informed them that he recognized the woman in the taxi as Leatherman, whom he said had been stalking him. The Times reports that Cusack had taken out a restraining order against Leatherman, and she was not allowed to be near him.

"The Insider" confirms the news that KATIE HOLMES is in talks to star in a Broadway show.

The glam mom to little SURI and wife to TOM CRUISE is in discussions regarding the play "All My Sons."

If Katie, who starred in January's 'Mad Money,' were to relocate to New York City for the play, she'd be returning to the city where she ran a marathon last November.

The death of DANIEL SMITH, son of the late ANNA NICOLE SMITH, has been ruled an accidental overdose by a Bahamian jury according to the Associated Press. The jury is recommending there be no criminal charges.

The seven-member jury took less than two hours today to decide on a verdict.

Model KATE MOSS was besieged by paparazzi as she arrived at the airport in L.A. Saturday night and the scene turned a bit chaotic as the photogs snapped away -- leaving Kate ducking for cover behind her luggage, and later, receiving a police escort to an awaiting shuttle outside.
